AI at OxCIN

Use this section for practical guidance on using generative AI in OxCIN work.

For ordinary productivity work, coding help, drafting, and brainstorming, follow the University guidance and use the approved AI tools listed by the Oxford e-Research Centre AI Competency Centre: Generative AI Tools.

For OxCIN work involving sensitive GDPR datasets, confidential material, or intellectual property, make sure to use the University-supported tools and subscriptions referenced on that page. The University notes that these enterprise AI tools have undergone security assessment and are intended for confidential information.

Before working with sensitive, personal, clinical, or otherwise protected data, also review OxCIN’s Data security and governance guidance.
