OxCIN Mailing Lists

There are a variety of mailing lists operated by or associated with OxCIN. These lists are used to communicate with Centre users and members or for social discussions by email. Membership of several lists is mandated for all Centre users, but some are optional, please see below for instructions on how to subscribe and unsubscribe to these optional lists, for example OxCIN Chat.

Lists marked with * are required.

Centre-wide lists

  • ​OxCIN Messages​* - oxcin-messages\@maillist.ox.ac.uk - OxCIN News and Messages from the OxCIN Management Team. Sending is limited to the OxCIN Management team.
  • OxCIN Chat - oxcin-chat\@maillist.ox.ac.uk​ - OxCIN members discussion list for social and other informal announcements and discussion. Sending is limited to mailing list members, and membership is optionally open to all OxCIN members.
  • OxCIN IT Announce* - oxcin-itannounce\@maillist.ox.ac.uk - OxCIN IT announcments. Sending is limited to the OxCIN IT Team

Building specific lists

There are three mailing lists for FRMIB, OHBA and BSB residents/regular visitors. Membership of these lists is currently optional and sending is limited to the Management, Admin, IT and Facilities teams for each building. General social and discussion messages should be sent via OxCIN Chat but if you have a building specific message, please ask the relevant admin team to forward it on your behalf.

  • ​OxCIN Open Science Mailing List - oxcin-open-imaging\@maillist.ox.ac.uk - A mailing list for discussion concerning the OxCIN Open Science project. You can subscribe online to this mailing list here https://mail.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/oxcin-open-imaging​

Subscribing/Unsubscribing to optional lists

To subscribe or unsubscribe to/from optional mailing lists, please use the OxCIN IT Registration system as described below. Attempting to subscribe or unsubscribe from these mailing lists via the University's maillist interface will not work.

​​Login to the OxCIN IT Registration system. At the bottom of the landing page you should see a box titled 'Mailing Lists' you will see your current subscription status for the various lists here. Click on the here text to join/leave lists.

Please note that there may be a delay of up to 15 mins when subscribing and unsubscribing to a OxCIN mailing list. ​
